- public and allied health professionals, mental health
practitioners, social workers, environmental health specialists, pharmacists, dietitians,
nurses, physicians, health educators, advocates, behavioral health practitioners, and
others interested in the well-being of Nebraskans.

PURPOSE |

OBJECTIVES
|
- Attendees will be able to describe major trends and new directions in public health in
the State and Nation.
- Attendees will be able to identify how innovative wellness programs and policies can
promote or improve the publics health.
- Attendees will be able to identify major disparities in health outcomes among persons in
Nebraska, the factors influencing those disparities, and innovative strategies to reduce
disparities.
- Attendees will be able to identify how new technologies can be used to improve health
outcomes.
- Attendees will develop new partnerships, strengthen existing ones, and develop networks
to maximize resources.
