The information available on this site is only one of the factors when deciding about nursing home care.  In addition to the quality measures, consumers should consider whether or not the facility has a specialized unit targeted to their need (for example, an Alzheimer's unit). Most importantly, consumers should visity facilities in order to meet the care team, watch the care that is given, and see, firsthand, the quality of living conditions and the general nursing home environment.
