Applications for Licensure by Reciprocity are most often based on a State
Board Examination. (If you have taken any of the exams listed above you probably do NOT
qualify for Reciprocity.) These individuals must also meet all other requirements for
licensure by examination. The Board of Medicine
and Surgery will review the requirements under which you were licensed in the other
state for comparability with Nebraska requirements. Please have the state in which you
took the Board examination forward your scores and the requirements in effect at the time
of your licensure to this office. In addition to having taken a State Board Examination,
the applicant by reciprocity is required to have either practiced or been in an approved
postgraduate education program for at least one out of the last three years. |
