Unprofessional Conduct
One of the grounds for denial of a license and disciplining a
license is unprofessional conduct. Unprofessional conduct means any departure from or
failure to conform to the standards of acceptable and prevailing practice of a profession
or occupation or the ethics of the profession or occupation, regardless of whether a
person, patient, or entity is injured, or conduct that is likely to deceive or defraud the
public or is detrimental to the public interest. This includes, but is not limited to, the
list of unprofessional conducts which can be found in the Uniform
Licensing Law, Neb. Rev. Stat. 71-148.
Additional conducts considered to be unprofessional conduct for veterinarians or
veterinary technicians can be found at 172 NAC 180-011. |
