Licensed Practical Nurse-Certified (LPN-C)
Education Programs

The Nebraska Board of Nursing has the authority to approve certification courses and prescribe a curriculum for training licensed practical nurses-certified. Before enrolling in a course, a licensed practical nurse must successfully demonstrate prerequisite competencies which include:

  1. Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages;
  2. Problm solving and critical thinking skills; and
  3. Communication and documentation skills.
