Water Fluoridation

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lists community water fluoridation as one of the top 10 public health achievements of the 20th century. The American Dental Association endorses water fluoridation as a safe and effective means of preventing tooth decay. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Dental Health Division, has assembled the following information to help educate the public about community water fluoridation.

The Guide to Community Preventive Services: the Oral Health systematic review on the evidence of effectiveness for preventing dental caries (tooth decay). The Guide review strongly recommended water fluoridation.
