Outreach

Outreach and Intensive Treatment Services (OAITS) program works with families and community teams. A goal of the program is to provide clinical services for individuals with both behavioral impairments and mental retardation or other developmental disabilities. A referral for service is made by contacting the area DHSS Developmental Disabilities System office.

The program's approach includes:

• Developing employee skills
• Devising treatment that is specific to the community setting
• Conducting follow-up services

The OAITS program offers two services: Outreach (OTS) and Intensive Treatment Services (ITS).

• Outreach Treatment Services (OTS) teams offer on-site consultation services or inservice to families and providers.
• Intensive Treatment Services (ITS) provides short term treatment in an inpatient setting.
