AIDS Action
AIDS Action is a national organization. It's dedicated to the development, analysis, cultivation, and encouragement of sound policies and programs in response to the HIV epidemic. This is done through the dissemination of information and the building and use of advocacy on behalf of all those living with and affected by HIV.

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) - HIV/AIDS
This is an ACLU website. It includes HIV/AIDS-related resources such as briefing papers and position statements. It includes summaries of ACLU HIV-related projects and activities, resources on civil liberties and related ACLU news.

DATA - Debt, AIDS, Trade, Africa
DATA aims to raise awareness about, and spark response to the crises swamping Africa. These are unpayable debts, uncontrolled spread of AIDS, and unfair trade rules which keep Africans poor.

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund
A national law and policy center. It is dedicated to furthering the civil rights of people with disabilities such as HIV/AIDS.

Project Inform
Project Inform is a national, non-profit, community-based organization working to end the AIDS epidemic. Balm in Gilead, Inc.
The Balm in Gilead is a national, non-profit organization founded in 1989. It works through Black churches to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS in the African American community. It supports those infected with, and affected by, HIV/AIDS.

Leadership Campaign on AIDS

Health Care Education and Training, Inc. (HCET)is a nonprofit agency. It provides quality comprehensive education, training, and program development. Their goal is primarily to enhance reproductive and women's health care. HCET serves professionals, health care systems, and communities to enhance health.

HIV Pharmaceutical Care Specialist
The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has developed a Certificate Program. This provides training for pharmacists seeking the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, counsel and manage the medications of patients living with HIV infection and other common co-morbidities.

International AIDS Society-USA

National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF)
The National Hemophilia Foundation supports and promotes research that will lead to finding the cures for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders and to reducing the complications of these disorders. CDC Hepatitis Branch

Hepprograms.org
Launched as part of a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Hepatitis Branch and Immunization Action Council/Hepatitis B Coalition. Health and social service professionals who develop or manage programs for populations at risk for hepatitis can use this site to read about other programs that use innovative methods of preventing viral hepatitis.

HIV and Hepatitis.com
Although there's no direct relation between Hepatitis and HIV, the two diseases share common risk factors. There's also evidence that concurrent infection with both HIV and different strains of Hepatitis may speed the onset of AIDS. Site contains many links to other hepatitis sites.

Viral Hepatitis C is the most common bloodborne pathogen found in America. There is no vaccine to prevent the infection of Hepatitis C. Preventing exposure to the virus is the only effective way to control the spread of the disease.

The Business Responds to AIDS and Labor Responds to AIDS Programs (BRTA/LRTA) help large and small businesses and labor unions meet the challenges of HIV/AIDS in the workplace and the community.

Candlelight Memorial
Since 1983, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial has: honored the memory of those lost to AIDS; shown support for those living with HIV and AIDS; raised awareness of HIV/AIDS; and mobilized community involvement in the fight against HIV/AIDS. On each third Sunday of May, the event will be observed in hundreds of cities around the world. Local observances can be coordinated by groups and individuals who register as "local event coordinators." Local event coordinators receive a kit with posters and materials to help them produce an effective Candlelight observance for their community.
