The positive influenza tests reflected in the below table are from rapid influenza tests only. In an outbreak situation, laboratorians and clinicians should make every effort to confirm positive rapid tests with an influenza cultures. The Nebraska Public Health Laboratory will perform these cultures at public health expense provided specimens are collected and submitted according to published protocol.
