What is SSBG?

The Nebraska Social Services Block Grant Plan 2006-2007 provides services to low-income people. Services are intended to enable individuals to be as self-sufficient as possible.

What services are provided?

Services that may be provided by the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) for the elderly and adults with disabilities include:

• Chore Services,
• Adult Day Services,
• Training,*
• Home Delivered Meals and Congregate Meals,
• Respite Care,
• Transportation,* and
• Adult Family Homes.

*These services are also available for children and families.
