HIPAA Privacy & Security
The Privacy & Security Office
The Privacy & Security Office is charged with fulfilling HIPAA requirements
regarding the protection of individual's and electronic privacy rights.
The Privacy Officer is the main contact person for information requests, including:
accounting of PHI disclosures, inspection of patient's PHI, and requests to amend
inaccurate entries in PHI, and for complaints of violation.
The Security Officer is the main contact person for
information requests including Administrative Safeguards, Physical Safeguards, Technical
Safeguards, and Organizational Requirements to protect the Confidentiality, Integrity, and
Availability of Electronic PHI (EPHI).
