Nebraskas Medicaid Program
Nebraska Medicaid pays for covered medical services for those persons who are unable to
afford to pay for medically necessary services and who meet certain eligibility
requirements.
Who is covered?
Nebraska Medicaid is available to certain low income persons including persons who are
aged, blind, disabled, children, and others who meet eligibility requirements. Kids
Connection is part of Nebraska Medicaid and provides medical assistance to children age 18
and younger.

What services are covered?
Nebraska Medicaid covers many medically necessary services from any health provider
qualified to perform the services who participates in the Nebraska Medicaid program. Click

How can I apply?
An application form must be completed and given to the Nebraska Department of Health
& Human Services. For more information, contact your nearest Health and Human Services
Office. Print an application and mail it to the nearest Health and Human Services Office.

What is Kids Connection?
Kids Connection is health care coverage for qualified children developed by the State
of Nebraska. It includes both the State Childrens Health Insurance Program (SCHIP or
CHIP) and the Nebraska Medical Assistance Program (also known as Medicaid). It provides
coverage for medically necessary services through the Nebraska Medicaid Program. Click
