Children's Mental Health and Substance Abuse Statewide
Infrastructure Grant (SIG)
Steering Committee
Purpose:
The Steering Committee sets priorities, identifies focus areas, establishes subcommittees,
coordinates and oversees the work of the subcommittees. This Commitee prepares final
recommendations on ways to strengthen the statewide system for delivering mental health
and substance abuse services for children and adolescents.
Background:
Nebraska’s response to children’s mental health could be enhanced through
increased coordination and development of infrastructure at the state, regional, and local
levels. The Steering Committee identifies strategies to improve service delivery systems
for children and families by building on best practices, promising practices and
initiatives across the state. |
