Members Sought for Health Boards
Lincoln—The State Board of Health is seeking members of the public and of certain professions to serve on several professional boards that are responsible for granting license privileges to health care providers. Public representatives or professionals are needed to serve on the following boards:
- Cosmetology—a cosmetologist, an esthetician, and a public member.
- Hearing aid instrument dispensers and fitters—a hearing aid instrument dispenser and fitter, and an otolaryngologist
- Medicine and surgery—a physician
- Nursing—an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), a nursing service administrator, and a public member
- Nursing home administration—a nonprofit home member, a public member
- Occupational therapy practice—an occupational therapist oroccupational therapy assistant
- Psychologists—a psychologist
Professionals who are actively engaged in the practice of any of the above professions will be appointed to fill vacancies on the boards. Individuals who can represent a consumer perspective and are not licensed in the particular areas that the board serves will be appointed to fill vacancies.
