DHHS Appoints Nathan Busch as Western Service Area Administrator
Lincoln Todd Landry, director of the Division of Children and Family
Services, has announced the appointment of Nathan S. Busch as administrator for the
Western Service Area, effective October 15. The Division is part of the Department of
Health and Human Services (DHHS).
"Nathan has outstanding leadership skills and a good understanding of the services
that DHHS provides," said Landry. "He knows the importance of providing quality
services, and hes committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children
and families. He brings significant experience with our judicial system, which will be a
major advantage as we seek to increase our collaboration with the courts."
Busch has worked as legal counsel for DHHS since March 2006, advising the Division of
Children and Family Services in the Western Service Area. He was an Adjunct Instructor for
the Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff from August 2006 to March 2006 and

2003 to 2006. He was a board member for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in
Scottsbluff in 2005-2006 and has been a board member for the Gering Board of Education
since 2005.
"I am excited to work with both the staff and families within the Western Service
Area," Busch said. "I envision this as an ideal time for us to work together to
establish relationships and networks in order to provide effective and quality services
for people in the Western Service Area."
Busch graduated from the Creighton University School of Law and has a bachelor of arts
degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Western Service Area covers 29 counties and includes Scottsbluff, Chadron,
Lexington and McCook. A map of the five Service Areas is available by going to http://www.dhhs.ne.gov/SvcAreaMap.pdf.
