DHHS to Hold Hearing August 28 in Lincoln
Lincoln The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of
Children and Family Services will hold a public hearing August 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. CT.
The hearing will take place in Lincoln at the State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall
South, Lower Level Conference Room A.
The Division is holding this hearing to accept comments on proposed changes to
regulations for Child Support Enforcement. This is a second hearing on these regulations.
The first hearing was held on July 24, 2008.
The proposed change will add language that clarifies that the overpaid party received
tax intercept dollars in error, including the tax offset dollars returned to the IRS
and/or the Nebraska Department of Revenue due to an amended
tax return.
Anyone may attend and comment at the hearing or submit comments in writing. Written
comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CT, August 28, 2008. They should be
sent to DHHS Regulatory Analysis and Integration, 301 Centennial Mall South, P.O. Box
