Support Group for Survivors of Westroads Mall Shootings
Omaha, Neb. Dec. 31, 2007 Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare will facilitate
a support group for any interested parties that are experiencing emotions or grief due to
the Westroads Mall Shootings. The support group will begin January 8, 2008. The support
group will run for 8 consecutive weeks from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lutheran Church of
the Master, 114th & West Center Road. The group will include an educational component
on the grief process, as well as open sharing and healing strategies for members. The
support group will be facilitated by licensed mental health professionals. They will be
available to help individuals that experience a strong emotional response during the
group. The professionals will also provide some of the educational components, but will
allow the members to develop their own agenda for helping each other. There is no cost and
the support group is open to the public.
Region 6 Behavioral Healthcares mission is to organize and provide an effective
