Training Offered on Managing Federal Funds
Lincoln Training on how to manage federal funding for health and
human services is being offered in August and September.
"Theres a limited amount of money available, so its critical to
maximize federal funding resources," said Bob Zagozda, Chief Operating Officer of the
Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). "This is an excellent
opportunity for people to gain a better understanding of how to wisely manage federal
dollars."
The training is for non-profits and government entities that either currently receive
or intend to apply for federal funds directly or through DHHS.
Training is scheduled in six sessions for August 19, 20, 26 and 27, September 3 and 10,
from 10:00 a.m. 12:00 noon CT (9:00 11:00 a.m. MT), via Internet and
conference call.
The trainer is Robert M. Lloyd, a national authority on federal policies affecting
acquisition, administration and audit of federal grants.
Most community action agencies and local health departments, some municipalities, and
other locations will be hosting group sites.
The training is offered at no charge to participants if they represent Nebraska
organizations whose mission includes health and human services.
