DHHS to Hold Hearing Regarding the Clean Indoor Air Regulations
Lincoln The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of
Public Health, will hold a public hearing September 25, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. CT. The hearing
will take place in Lincoln at the State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lower
Level Conference Room A.
This hearing is being held to accept comments on proposed changes to regulations
related to the Clean Indoor Air Act. The proposed changes will implement LB 395, passed in
2008, that repeals the current Nebraska Clean Indoor Air Act and adopts a new act that
prohibits smoking in public places and places of employment throughout the State of
Nebraska beginning June 1, 2009.
Anyone may attend and comment at the hearing or submit comments in writing. Written
comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CT, September 27, 2008. They should
