Critical Access Hospital Program Coordination
|
| The Office of Community Health
Development works with the Office of Rural Health to implement the Rural Hospital
Flexibility Grant for Nebraska's 65 critical access hospitals. This Program improves rural
health care access and reduces hospital closures. Grant funds are used to provide
technical assistance to critical access hospitals (CAHs), support CAH network activities,
use the Balanced Scorecard, and improve the quality of health care services.
The continuation grant application for the 2008 Small Rural Hospital Hospital
Improvement Grant Program (SHIP) is due to the Office of Community Health Development by
February 20, 2008. The grant period is September 1, 2008 to August 31, 2009. The
application is available in two versions: a standard form and an electronic, form-filled
form.
