Critical Access Hospital Program Coordination

The Office of Community Health Development works with the Office of Rural Health to implement the Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant for Nebraska's 65 critical access hospitals. This Program improves rural health care access and reduces hospital closures. Grant funds are used to provide technical assistance to critical access hospitals (CAHs), support CAH network activities, use the Balanced Scorecard, and improve the quality of health care services.

The continuation grant application for the 2009 Small Rural Hospital Improvement Grant Program is available in two Word versions. One version is the standard application and the second is an electronic, form-filled application. Applications are due March 16, 2009.
